I really liked this and it’s a shame graphic novels are over so quickly. Iko has always been one of my favourite characters from the lunar chronicles, so I’m glad we got something with her being the main character. She has the same charm she always does! I enjoyed the overall plot and seeing what happened to Cinder when she took over the throne. And seeing them all alive, happy, and in relationships makes me happy in return 😭 I didn’t particularly like Liam Kinney as a love interest. He wasn’t memorable or exciting, and believes Iko has less worth than a human. I find it hard to fall in love with a love interest who has those beliefs, even initially, or if it’s meant to be “enemies to lovers.” He basically believes that robots are incapable of emotion and shouldn’t have rights. The art style wasn’t really my thing either, as most of the characters weren’t as I imagined (especially wolf). As well, some of the characters looked VERY similar, which made it extremely confusing at times to look at. I mixed them up several times. Still, I love them and I love this. The storyline was super engaging and sets everything up well for the next book. I’ll read anything from this world!! 😩❤️
