Wow, this was a pretty emotional book in many
aspects. At the being of the book we meet
Damon and his wife Connie who are trying to
have a baby but can't so they decide to get a
surrogate. This is how we meet Emma, who we
later find out has a secret past. Shortly after
Emma became pregnant Connie is murdered. I
felt so conflicted rooting for Damon and Emma
to become a happy family for baby Annie. I felt
like I betraying Connie since their relationship
moved rather quickly after Connie died imo.
