I loved the story and message of being your most authentic self, no matter how different that may be from everyone else around you.
The only thing keeping me from giving this 5-stars is how unrealistic the adults, especially teachers, were towards Selah. Unless I missed it, there wasn't anything stating what year this takes place, but with all the How to Train your Dragon references, it's at least after 2010. With all the resources available nowadays, some schools even training teachers in how to recognize signs, it frustrated me how horrible the adults were towards Selah and almost had me DNFing with how angry I was getting.
