Anne of the Island
by L.M. Montgomery
Good enough, but I think I'm done with the Avonlea characters now. I liked the aspects of this that spoke to how we have visions of what our future will be like that sometimes outdo our reality, especially young women of the age that Anne was in this book. A lot of good stuff here about not settling for what you think you are supposed to do vs. what will truly make you happy. Interesting to read this in a book written so long ago. I guess this struggle is universal!
