The Wolf Lord
by Ann Aguirre
3.5 stars
The hero in this story is a rake-woobie combo. It's kind of delightful. He (somewhat accidentally) uses his woobie powers to show the heroine, ice queen extraordinaire, how to develop emotional bonds. I kind of love this slight trope reversal.
I did feel like the pacing was a bit draggy in places though, and most of the action takes place in last quarter of the book.
