Eric Gill by Fiona MacCarthy
3.0
A well-researched life, sadly let down somewhat by the lack of meaningful discussion of the artist's work. Clearly the author's fascination, and equally the reader's, is in Gill's sexual adventures. This undermines the legacy of his work, which occurs more as stepping stones throughout as calibrations showing what is happening at which point in the artist's life.
