At the Mountains of Madness by H.P. Lovecraft
3.0

Cheap suspense created by basically just saying "no, I really can't tell you about this yet! It was so horrific, I just can't mention it!" just to then describe silly monsters and like...heads torn off? Come on, boring. Too clearly crafted to please pulp fiction mass buyers in the time period this was first published. Decent enough. But also boring. Most of it just made me roll my eyes. I felt nothing while reading this. It passed the time. Disappointing.
