Mind to Matter: The Astonishing Science of How Your Brain Creates Material Reality by Dawson Church

1.0

This book gave me a hard time. I really wanted to like it but I had to stop after the first few chapters (the one where it's all about what water can memorize and that Heavy Metal music makes ugly snowflakes. I just...can't.)

I'm really into positiv thinking and even the Law of Attraction, I liked Abraham's books and I'm generelly an open minded person. I DO think that your thoughts can influence your life. What pisses me off is when authors start quoting scientific studies but it's just random so people think: Oh this has to be true because he just mentioned 3 studies in one chapter. Do yourself a favor and look some of the studies up. There are plenty of articles about some of them and why they an easily be debunked (like the one from Masaru Emoto).

Do I think that positive thoughts have an influence on your health and daily life and there's more to the world than we can see? Hell yeah! Do I think that's enough to heal cancer? No!
