This is my second read through of this and I came back loving it more than the first time.  This novel is as beautiful as it is horrific.  A well-crafted tale with the added bonus of visceral poetry to add depth and to propel the story forward.

"You know, its been said you should never meet your heroes, but I say better to know whom you put on that pedestal, don't you agree?"

A group of friends take a trip of a lifetime to their favorite author, Edward Addington's estate.  Long since abandoned, but never forgotten by diehards, they soon find they are not alone, and familiar characters aren't what they seem. In fact, they are relentless and unforgiving at times.

It's hard to describe all the twists and turns this has but it always has heart and sorrow at the core.
