Amaya is surprised to get a wedding invitation from her former best friend, Kaavi. She’s even more surprised to learn that the groom is her ex-boyfriend. Amaya has to stop the wedding, but in trying to, she finds herself entangled in secrets and betrayals. Then Kaavi goes missing and is presumed dead. Amaya becomes a prime suspect, but she’s not the only guest with a motive.
I loved the setting of Sri Lanka and it being a wedding with so many twists. The book is written as a mix of Amaya's point of view and police interviews, which I liked. I especially liked getting Kaavi's point of view at times. While I had suspected something about Kaavi's father, Amaya's actual secret definitely surprised me. Amaya had some issues and not all of them were resolved or even semi-addressed, but I still really enjoyed this one.
