The Book of Accidents
by Chuck Wendig
DNF
I was SO excited for this one, but I just don't think I vibe with Wendig's writing. This is the second book by him that I've read about a hundred pages of and I just couldn't get into. His premises are very interesting but execution just simply isn't good. I find that his story start very very fast, with hardly any build up to them, but then are extremely long books. His characters and plots are very underdeveloped, the dialogue is very stunted and unrealistic, and overall his writing just seems mediocre. Which really is a letdown because again this book and some of his others sound absolutely incredible, but the way he writes them is very subpar.
