Always Isn't Forever by J.C. Cervantes

This was amazing! I did not really know what to expect going into it but I was pleasantly surprised! I really liked how much of the characters lives we got to explore and how each character had a focus and developed over the story really well. I initially was a bit worried realizing that Hart was coming back in the form of Jameson after the rough and unpleasant introduction to Jameson that we got, but I think it was put in a really good direction.
I loved going deep into Ruby's grief and not going through that aspect of everything so quickly. That even when she came to terms it was still hard to deal with the truth that nothing would ever be the same again, and that was okay.

I also appreciated seeing how Ruby and Hart's culture was such a big part of their lives and who they are. It was funny to read Hart having to struggle with living in a white guy who didn't have the same tastes or experiences he previously did. I thought that part was great especially because even though it's small, it's realistic.

I loved this a lot and would highly recommend!
