This Book was everything for me. It made me laugh, it made me cry, it made me angry, it made me disgusted. I was suffering from a reading slump so I decided to pick up my favourite authors book. It would be an understatement to say that I got out of it.
At the start of redeeming 6, the book was too slow-paced for my liking, and I could barely read 4 chapters in one sitting. But once aoife and joey were successfully in a relationship, I couldn't stop.
I wont lie but I was devastated everytime joey used drugs and broke aoife's heart. But I am so fucking happy she didn't give up on him.
The time when he was at the rehab and thought about aoife, and when aoife thought about him...i could not physically stop crying. Hell, I think I was even more emotional than aoife. The letter joey wrote before he went to the bridge had me crying for 30 minutes straight. The book was more on the sad side.
But once Alex or Gibsie came into view, even jhonny, everything turned funny. I laughed out loud whenever joe said Gibsie as Gussie in a serious situation. Tadhg like my spirit animal. And the banter between him and joey when joey came back was so funny.
These books are the exact reason why chloe walsh is my comfort author. I read in the authors note that her son died and she poured all her sorrows in the book. And I felt it. I felt aoife, I felt joey and I felt Chloe Walsh.
I would totally recommend this book (tho it can get repetitive about joey always hurting aoife but u should go for it)
