Eileen by Ottessa Moshfegh
4.0
We discussed Eileen on episode 53 of The Bookstore Podcast. You can find it in almost every place you get your podcasts.
I love Ottessa Moshfegh. I love Eileen. I love everything about the disgusting grimy world she writes to populate with weird and pretty much bad people. Not everyone can pull this off for me, but I find Moshfegh's gross female characters endearing - and Eileen was no exception, though I still thikn I prefer My Year of Rest and Relaxation for really striking the big millennial mood.
Something, something, but for the grace of God and my deeply-seated Catholic guilt go I.
