One of my favorite things to read are retellings of stories I already know. This is one of the best retellings I have read. Very dark story but very good story line. I loved it and will recommend it to everyone! It's not the story of The Little Mermaid that we were told and watched as children. It is more the original tale of The Little Mermaid not the Disney version and I think that is what I liked most about it.
