The Gap Into Conflict: The Real Story by Stephen R. Donaldson

5.0

Donaldson has been one of my favourite writers since I discovered his Thomas Covenant books in high-school. His prose is well-crafted, and his characters are deeply flawed but compelling. This book has an interesting structure and offers us psychological insights into characters we have no reason to love, but can't stop being simultaneously disgusted and fascinated with. I'm actually surprised this hasn't been made into a movie yet.
