As the youngest Jacobson, Gabby is set on being very different from her sisters: virginal, judgy, and naive—the perfect preacher's daughter who happens to be infatuated with her oldest sister's ex-boyfriend.
Ben is her best friend, the one constant since middle school. He is reliable and sweet and would do anything for Gabby. After all, he loves her, even when Gabby doesn't notice. They are both in the same college, away from their small town of Devil's Horn.
Gabby is sure of being in love with Matt until Ben kisses her. And then, in pure Jewel E. Ann fashion, tragedy strikes. A Good Book is a raw, emotional, painful, yet beautiful journey. The characters' growth, the unexpected friendships, and disability rep made the story real and more meaningful. And the 80s setting continues to be perfect.
As of now, the Sunday Morning series is my favorite by Jewel E Ann. What I would give to read these books for the first time again. They are special.
