Nowhere Boy by Katherine Marsh

I don't have the ability at this time to articulate in a full review my love for this story. I can only say it is one of the most romantic stories I've read in a very long time. Yes, romantic. I can't think of any other word for it. It's a book that mixes harsh realism with idyllic happy-endings; it's a story about the power of love. I strongly encourage everyone to read it and echo the sentiment that it should be included in the line-up of mandatory classroom readings - as many mixed feelings as I have about mandatory books, I discovered many poignant stories that have stuck with me that way and I would rather have every kid be able to discover this story than leave it to chance!
