Ceremony

//4.5//
For Book Club S&Co (Great conversation)
Ceremony took a moment for me to really delve into, mostly due, I am assuming, to the quarantine-addled state of my brain. However, once I did become engrossed I found the rhythm and style of this book completely captivating. Silko weaves story in a way that pays little heed to formulative, narrative logic and instead focuses on the resonance that is living and live-wire in every story that makes up the world.
This book is absolutely worth the read - to mull over, to consider the way that time is employed, emptiness and openness, and how we relate to healing-- what can be done alone and what has need of connectedness?
