De wonderbaarlijke reis van de fakir die vastzat in een IKEA-kast by Lidewij van den Berg, Katrien Vandenberghe, Romain Puértolas

2.0

As fun and exciting as the book looks when you first pick it up, as flat and non-existent is it's storyline. Filled with anything but logic and tons of racist stereotypes, this book fell flat. Took me ages to finish as I mainly used it to "fill gaps in between reading other books". And well, once you start reading it you kind of want to know if there is an actual story. Spoiler alert: there isn't. Felt like a draft by a first time novelist. Will be reading Puértolas' other book though, since I want to find out if he evolved as a writer.
