Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult, Jennifer Finney Boylan

5.0

This was a really good book. I was pretty surprised at the twist halfway through but I thought it was really well done. I loved how much detail she went into to try to explain what it means to be transgender and the issues that come with it.

Originally I hated the ending of this book but it dawned on me I’d completely missed the point she was making. In the end she died because she was a girl , not cause she was transgender. In this year where women dominated music, the box office etc it was a stark reminder that we still have so far to go.

This book will stick with me.
