"I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own."
I loved, loved, loved this book. I inhaled most of the book today because I could not put it down!
The time was fascinating. As I was young during the 1960s, I didn't fully grasp how difficult many simple things were for women. No individual banking accounts, no birth control for married women unless the husband agreed, and the list goes on and on. This was only 60 years ago - the 1960s were not all free love and Woodstock.
The four main characters were intriguing, the writing was fantastic, and the storyline was so good. 1963 was a wild ride of a year!
