I don't know how much longer I can continue this series. Sure I gave it three stars but I'm starting to wonder if I was being too nice. I thought the first book was ok. Got to the second book that had more action but by the end wasn't very happy. Now I'm on the third book and I'm wondering why I bother. The characters that I really didn't care much for in the first place I am growing to hate.
Ever didn't seem really bad in the first book. I actually kind of liked her. By the second book she was really on my nerves. Her being constantly confused left me equally confused and just wanting to get to the end. Now in this book I'm wondering if her character will ever redeem herself. Since in my opinion she's turning into one of the worst female leads ever, up there with Bella. I really hope she turns things around next book. I mean really. How many mistakes can you make and not learn from. I not sure if it's cause she's a teen, blond, or both. I just can't see how anyone could make as big as mistakes as she does.
I didn't see the point of introducing Jude. When in my opinion he wasn't really in the book enough to get to know him real well. He seems nice enough but I would have liked to spend more time with the character. I normally really like the bad guy but Roman mostly irritates me. Sometimes I like him but I just hate how he seems to know what everyone is going to do. I also find Damen a bland character and find Ever's friends at most pointless.
Time for some good things and why I probably gave this three stars. I liked that it kept my attention and kept me wanting to read more. Even though the ending irritated me I will definitely read the next book. Really I think that's the point of books for the most part. As long as they keep your attention and leave you wanting more then they have done their job.
