This book was so great until it wasn’t. From the jump, I loved the voice and the witty tone, but I knew this wasn’t a book I’d return to in a few years because of how it ages itself. With that aside, I loved seeing the relationship between Jules and Poppy develop as they navigated life together. Throughout the story, though, I felt myself liking and caring for Jules less and less, and I kind of wish I had Poppy’s perspective instead. By the end I was disappointed with the book and a bit apathetic toward Jules. I give it a 3.5.
