I have to say that I have enjoyed pretty much everything by this author to some degree, so I was beyond excited to settle in to read this story! It was a fast-paced read, but a very well written one!

My chief complaint about it was that everything felt rushed in the story. There's very little background on Billy or Shayna's pasts, so we're forced to take them as they are. They fall for each other very quickly, but fight the attraction because they're not "supposed to" like each other. It fell a little like the insta-love trope, but with a few twists, which turned a hated trope for me into an enjoyable read.

That being said, I really loved Shayna! I thought she was a great character overall, very intriguing and engaging, as well as being very easy to connect with! I thought Billy was a good match for her romantically, and did enjoy watching them navigate their way to each other.

All things considered, this was a quick, easy, and engaging read that I thoroughly enjoyed!
