The Elle Project by Summer Dowell

5.0

Such a fun "boy next door" book!

Elle and Oliver have been closeish for years but the pressure from both families have pushed them apart rather than together. Years go by and they are reunited again... of course facing that same pressure. Many times I want to pull her family aside and say "shush it!"

BUT at the same time I love her family and how close they are. Her twin brothers crack me up! This book defiantly reminds me to be thankful for my family and gets me excited for all the family time near Christmas. Christmas is a great time to take a look around at all the crazies in your life, related or not, and think how special they each are.

Elle and Oliver I just wanted to trap in a closet and force them to face each other. Summer Dowell defiantly knows how to legit make you feel the awkwardness going on. I love it when you can feel what the characters are feeling... makes it seem like you are right there with them! Their reunion is awkward, yet so fun!

This little novella is perfect for the busy Christmas season to sneak in during all the holiday craziness and a great reminder to enjoy the season no matter the crazies!

Thank you Summer Dowell for the free advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. These opinions are my own.
