A Summer to Die by Lois Lowry

5.0

I first read this book when I was 9. It's the book that started my love of reading. It's really morbit, and totally ripping. The day I picked this out of my elementry school's little library shelves started three years of hermitude consumed with Louis Lowery, Madeline Lingle, CS Lewis, and the Bronte sisters. After that I discovered Harlequin romances which began a slow spin down the road to bodice rippers (a pit which I occasionally swim in still).
