Obviously, this is written as a twist on Beauty and the Beast. However, I didn’t find it to be much of a twist. Basically it was the same story with a little extra going on.
Except, what the hell is the ending? It doesn’t have a happily ever after - the Beast doesn’t turn human or get with Belle.
Overall, I was very close to not finishing this book. Halfway through, I was bored out of my mind. I didn’t like the back and forth to past and present. I only powered through because I hate not finishing, but it wasn’t anything special.
