The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
5.0
I’m still processing and ever since I’ve finished reading I can’t stop thinking about this book. I love how the subject of beekeeping was incorporated and source for numerous beautiful metaphors. The characters were astonishingly realistic and relatable. I was completely immersed in the story and couldn’t stop reading. What a dream it would be to live with the beekeeping sisters. I haven’t genuinely laughed while reading in a very long time but this book made me laugh out loud just as much as it made me cry. I have never read a book that made me as happy as this one does. So it’s easy to say that it’s my new favourite book!
