I listened to the audiobook, which seems to be the way to go because the written version lacks dialogue markers.

An enjoyable, if difficult, read. The reader can feel the MC's fear grow throughout, though she denies and denies how she feels. We know something terrible is coming, though guessing how it's going to end is difficult given the collection of different personalities. Like, we know what the dad wants to happen, and what the mother is willing to let happen, but there are other characters involved outside the family (thankfully).

A well-crafted portrayal of domestic abuse, unhealthy obsession, turning a blind eye, and what it is like to feel powerless.
