The shock on my face when I finished book one. Of course I finished it right before bed and had to sleep instead of start the next book. Needless to say I didn’t sleep well 🤣 if I were in Danni’s shoes I would feel conflicted, too. One guy dropped off the face of the planet and they made her think he was dead. The other one was his best friend and knew his line of work because he too was a part of it at one point but then he proceeded to ask her to marry him. Oh and we can’t forget he thought Cole might still be alive and did it anyways. How do you trust these men after all that? Cole was just doing his job so I’m not sure I could be as mad at him but Trace… Ugh.
The way these guys give her space but also stay in the house with her had me busting up laughing. We knew it wouldn’t last. Trace runs his business from her couch and Cole messes with his motorcycle and sleeps in the basement 🤣 I LOVE that neither of them wanted to back down. They both love her and they are showing it 100%. You can also tell that Trace is all Cole has as far as friends go that are super close to him. The way he called Trace to help the homeless family get to the shelter. Like he didn’t skip a beat. He knew they needed to get there and he only had his bike so he called Trace to help 😭 not going to lie I cried. Both men have great qualities but both men also lied to her. Ultimately Danni decides she’s going to date both men. But there is to be no sex. I was so annoyed when she made that rule because we know damn well she won’t stick to it. And sure enough she doesn’t. Danni and Cole have scuba sex and that had to have been one of the hottest scenes in this book 🥵 it started to get a little too wild when the photos were found in her car. Some of Cole having sex with another woman and then some of Trace standing over a dead man’s body. I had a feeling it would go that way. I would have 100% reacted the same way she did. I think I would have been more mad at Cole than Trace though 🤷🏻♀️ The ending has you needing more. Who is out here trying to take Danni out 🤔 onto the next…
