Absolutely adored this book. I loved the cast of characters (not you Nancy), and I loved the thematic idea of this uninhibited, fun lifestyle showing up in the straight-laced, conservative and repressed town. I guarantee that if I had read this when I was 15 I would have made it my entire personality.
The writing style was really easy to get into, but also felt quite visceral and almost cinematic at times. The hints at dark fantasy, verging into horror, really worked for me, although maybe I could have done with it getting a little more into the horror instead of simply touching on it. But as it was, I thought it was a fantastic book and I really hope we do get a sequel, and get to know more about more of these characters.
