I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie by Alison Jackson, Judy Schachner

A Thanksgiving themed retelling of the classic "I Know An Old Lady" song. This time, the old lady is that one relative who shows up to dinner and proceeds to devour the entire 4 course meal with all the fixings without a hello or how-do-you-do, effectively ruining the holiday for the whole family.

I read (more like sang) this to the preschooler I tutor and at first he wasn't particularly interested... until she started shoving bigger and more ridiculous items down her greedy gullet and swelled up to an enormous size. After she downed the ten-layer cake, I heard him say in awe "maybe she really will die" and he was hooked.
