My Hero Academia, Vol. 18
by Kōhei Horikoshi
Hahahahaha, apparently I am a mind reader, seeing as Deku managed to defy the odds and still safe Eri. But this was just a meh volume. The art-style wasn't particularly appealing, the whole fight was quite chaotic. The ending was also quite anti-climatic. Like, stuff je happened and I was like, what even is going on??? A lot of the novel was also just the aftermath, and having to follow Todoroki, Bakugo and the two others having supplementary classes. Like, it was funny, but I just cared too little. Also, I knew sir Nighteye was going to die, but it was very anticlimatic. Like, I didn't care he died. I felt more for the characters that had to withness it, but even then, he was introduced a handful volumes ago. He was an insiginificant character. Like, it would be great if they, for example, would put Aizawa in danger. Like, people love him. Also, the fact that you're looking at the new popularity poll and you see 1 character being female and you just sigh and wish that they were written better.
