I enjoyed The Last Garden in England much more than I expected I would. Through the course of the book we follow five women who are all connected to Highbury House over different generations. I was expecting this book to fall into the Kate Quinn style of book where we move backwards and forwards in time and something terrible happens to everyone and no one is happy. Though the book did get a bit predictable with something bad happening at every major social event, in the end the book was not sad and something terrible didn't happen to everyone. I found the women in this book to be very well written and I particularly enjoyed Emma who's story takes place in 2021. Overall I would recommend this book to people and I would read another book by Julia Kelly.
