The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery

1.0

If I could I would have given this book zero stars. To be honest I did not read it to the very end because it was just so bad I could not force myself to go through the whole thing.
The main characters in this were so annoying that I could not read more than a couple of chapters before throwing the book away in exasperation. Now, I've come across irritating heroines before like Flaubert's madame Bovary. But unlike Barbery, Flaubert knows how to built an intersting plot, whith REAL three dimensional characters. Reading the elegance of the hedgehog was in no way me wintessing art. It was me looking at the author patting ther own ego on the back.
I have so much more to say about this book but since it's all negative I won't.
