Strong character development: No

Okay, so I didn't quite like this book as much as the first one. I think for the plot to go on Nicolette was written to be so dumb. Like repeating the same mistakes of not being honest and telling her boyfriends about the stalker situation. So yes, I was rolling my eyes a lot.

Also Nic's had some questionable character development here. She keeps breaking the agreed upon rules. Doing as she wishes and not being HONEST and not TALKING with the men in her life.

I actually fucking hated how she started up her relationships with Rhodes and Maksim and Alexei.
I hated that she was just like "I can do what I want. I don't need their (core 4 group) approval." Like ??? Huh??? You entered into a relationship. You agreed to honestly and communication. Their only hard limit was no kissing (clients). So what, she just breaks that, with no qualms. Over and over and over!! She didn't communicate fucking nothing to her boyfriends. Well maybe Sacha a little but not them all. They deserved her honesty and her consideration. She was a fucking bitch here. In that situation.

Also I feel like there were so many moments where Nic should have broken up with Vas. He seriously cannot handle the situation. I don't quite understand Nic's "love" for him. When he's seriously struggling with the arrangement. Also, umm, Nic's said many times her limits included "Nothing permanent" (as well as no needles, no watersports) but yet Vas still carved his name on her skin. Like....
I just feel like Vas is nothing special compared to what she can get from any one of the guys.

So my least favorite character has been Nicholette.

She also broke the boy's limits when she kissed Wren and acted like it's no big deal. Yeah compared to her reasoning (to prevent women from getting killed) I see why the men backed off but it was HER AGAIN BREAKING THE BOYS' TRUST. Nicholette is just very entitled and selfish. And untrustworthy!

My favorite scene was her first scene back with Maks. ((Though I didn't agree with her that she should do it without talking to the guys.)) It was still the hottest scene.

I felt bad for the core 4 in the beginning of this book. They handled the other three joining them way better than I did.

The spice was very spicy, it's what kept me interested.

However the pregnancy trope just kind of killed it for me. I hate that. I might not finish the series because of that and because the plot was just exactly the same as the first book.
