A fun twist on a classic haunted house story. Predictable but satisfying— the cliches are well-deployed to play with reader expectations.
Not very scary in the traditional sense, but a compelling portrayal of the POV character’s psyche. Pretty intense gore for me (not a gore enjoyer) but the lighthearted detachment made it more bearable. I did grimace while listening to the audiobook
I wish that there were a little more answers and a little less pure action, but that’s my taste.
