Stay Awake by Megan Goldin
5.0

Liv Reese wakes up in the back of a taxi not knowing where she is or how she got there. When she's dropped off at a brownstone apartment building, she is greeted by a stranger- in her home. Trying to call her roommate, she can't find her phone, but instead, she finds a bloodied knife. She also sees notes written all over her hands and arms. One is prominent- STAY AWAKE.

This is my first Megan Goldin novel that I've ever read, and it did not disappoint! The chapters are fast-paced and follows a dual timeline (actually one of my favorite things in a novel). This psychological thriller is one that I know will hit bit once published on August 9, 2022.

The way the story is written, you get the vibe that Liv is an unreliable narrator, and she very well may be! I think that's what gets me excited too. There are also strong feminine characters within this story and I feel like that is something we need to see more of.

I can't wait to see the reception of this novel once it's released, and I don' t think this will be my last Megan Goldin book! Well done!

5/5
