Code Talker: The First and Only Memoir By One of the Original Navajo Code Talkers of WWII
by Judith Schiess Avila, Chester Nez
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It details a vital piece of U.S. military history one in which the Navajo culture and the U.S. Government war machine cooperated and excelled. If only all Native and US history was such a success.
As a service-member I enjoyed the book. As a New Mexican I enjoyed the book and understood his descriptions of the landscape.
If you are a fan of military history, or native culture or biographies this will be an educational and enjoyable book.
