This was a good change. We went back and forth through time to fully understand what made the Beast become the Beast. I was expecting more of what happens after the curse was broken but I guess that's no longer part of "villain side". I loved all the references throughout the book; they made me want to get to the other stories to see their version. This might be my favorite, so far but it's just the second one, so I'll have to wait and see how the others appeal to me. I love references and this one has a lot, so definitely 5 starts from me.
