Dear Sweet Pea by Julie Murphy

3.0

I received this as an eARC from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.

Patricia, Sweet Pea, splits her time between her divorced parents. In effort to keep her from having too many changes, Sweet Pea’s parents both have houses on the same street, and are separated by one neighbor. Even though her parents tried to keep most things the same, things are still pretty hard. Sweet Pea relies on her best friend Oscar, but when her ex-best friend Kiera starts infiltrating her life, Sweet Pea begins to have friend problems. Life is a struggle in middle school, so when Sweet Pea is asked by her advice columnist neighbor, Miss Flora, to watch over her house, she uses this as an opportunity to get into the advice giving business.

This book was fun and cute. I think it was written for a younger audience than the older tweens, but it will be a good bridge between middle grade and tween. It was sweet.
