Heartbreak Warfare by Kate Stewart, Heather M. Orgeron
5.0

Holy moly! I just read the mother of all love triangles. I know they turn off a lot of readers, but they're one of my guiltiest pleasures. I adore them. I have to say it's been a long, long time since I've read one, but none, and I mean, not even Kellan Kyle, has affected me this way.

I started this book this morning, minutes after I woke up. I read, and read, and read. I sat on my comfy couch and got nothing accomplished. My kids were in school, I had the whole house to myself, and this book freaking consumed me. I only stopped for bathroom breaks.

This is bar none, the absolute best book I've read all year! I'm sure I've probably said that in previous reviews, and at the time it was true, but this book has ruined me for any other book I'm going to read after it. In fact, I feel sorry for the book I have to review next.

The writing by these two authors is superb. Heartbreak Warfare, in all its angsty, gut wrenching, beautiful glory laid bare my emotions. My chest hurt, I had goosebumps. Even after these authors completely wrecked me, I could not put this book down.

This one will stay with me for quite a while. I'm in love with this story and these beautifully broken characters. I want more.
