It’s unfortunate such a talented author was given such a great character with so much potential and wrote such a boring story. This book mostly relies on familiar characters and places from Star Wars to keep you interested rather than a good story. I feel like there are so many interesting stories happening just outside this story, like Padmé’s relationship with Rush Clovis or the formation of the Separatist Alliance that we could have gotten but didn’t. Even the epilogue sets up an interesting story with Sabé, which I believe is sadly continued in comic books rather than this book series. I would say though one positive thing this book did was feel like you were at least in a filler episode of The Clone Wars television series in tone.
