Forgotten Marriage by Paula Roe

5.0

This became the book I finished in record time, after a long time. In less than a day.

Finn Sørensen was in a car crash which placed his father in the intensive care. And which ultimately led to the latter's demise. After his father's death, he came to know that he has a wife who lives in Australia. Finn lost some of his memories in that same crash, and his wife is apparently a part of those memories.

While his cousin Louisa moons over them as a couple, his stepmother leaves nothing to the imagination in calling out his so-called wife as nothing more than a gold digger.

With Marlene digging her claws into the estate and business of her late husband, Finn has no choice but to find out a way around it, with his forgotten wife's help, of course, to ensure his father's hard work doesn't fall into the wrong hands.

Forgotten Marriage takes us from Copenhagen to Sydney. Alexandra 'Ally' McKnight never imagined that she would hear from her Scandinavian husband again, the same one who didn't even want their baby. More than two months had passed since she left him.

Thus, imagine her surprise when she gets a call from him! And there is no limit to her astonishment when Finn reveals that he needs her help to restore his memory. A man who never needed anything, not even her. Ally is twenty-nine and she is twelve weeks pregnant.

This is the first time I read a Harlequin with a Danish hero. I would have loved to visit Denmark though, through the book, of course. But it was not to be.

This was a true 'opposites attract' story. Such an organised guy and a messy girl. It was too cute as well as adventurous, the way they were trying to get back Finn's memories. It was indeed wonderful to see a Harlequin hero, even if inwardly, guilt-tripping about the way he behaves, admitting that he was selfish and arrogant.

This was such an endearing read, especially with their wicked flirtations. It also had an epilogue and even after having 20 chapters, felt like the shortest but sweetest read ever!

I can't exactly remember which read was it, but I have previously read books which have only two characters throughout the story. And they have always ended up being disastrous. But this one did not have even a single dull moment!

I had read only one [a:Paula Roe|1106805|Paula Roe|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1245807638p2/1106805.jpg] before, The Pregnancy Plot, which was okay-ish for me, but this changes everything! I can't wait to read more of the author's works. I loved this one so much that I want to own a physical copy. But it isn't available anywhere in India at the moment.
