Sirius
by Jonathan Crown
They say cats have 9 lives. Well, those lives can't be as exciting as the lives Sirius the dog lives as Levi, Sirius, Hercules, and Hansi! Through the book, the reader follows Sirius from pre-WWII Berlin to Hollywood, the circus, and then back to Berlin. This amazing little pup gets himself tangled up in the movie industry, the circus, and even Hitler's downfall. It was great how Mr. Crown weaved in actual events and people throughout the story. Since it is supposedly told to the author by the grandson/dog of Sirius, the book is laid out in mostly short snippets, somewhat how you would imagine a dog's attention span would be. But thankfully, the dog shares some events second hand so that we get a fuller picture of what happens. This is a good book if you think dogs are awesome!
