The Burning Hand by Jodi Meadows

4.0

Oh look! My prayers have been answered because I got more of Tobiah!

The Burning Hand is the third novella in a short list of for lovely novellas. It doesn't disappoint either, just like the previous two. It's a little bit darker than the first two novellas as well - but oh man, is it amazing.

I'm secretly, okay not so secretly, falling for Tobiah. It's nice to get more information on him before I read The Orphan Queen and I hope that I will love him even more in that book (and beyond!). It's interesting to see what he does in this book. I have no idea what I would do if I saw someone being murdered right in front of me. And then finding out someone you know is under constant threat from the murderer?!? Oh hell no, I have no fucking idea what I would do in that situation. I'd probably run away though. I'm a lover and not a fighter - plus, I'd probably die if I tried to fight since I have no idea what to do other than kick someone..

This novella did have some twists and turns that I honestly had no idea would appear and it definitely made it more interesting. I seriously can't wait to finish the fourth novella so that I can binge read this entire freaking series.
