Okay so we had like really high expectations, right? Because TVD was like really really good and one of the best YA books out there. Anyway, that being said, OVE couldn't really be better, but I think miss chloe did a wonderful job of making OVE worth the hype. As someone who usually doesn't enjoy sequels and finds them a lot more boring than the previous book, it is really difficult for an author to make the sequel the same or better. OVE was something I was looking forward all year and I feel like the wait was worth it. Surprisingly, I wasn't disappointed.
The end really something to discuss, so spoilers:
I was so scared while reading this that Roma And Juliette would die because as we know this a retelling of the tragedy. (important word tragedy) I'm not going to lie I did forget this little fact and had the audacity to be surprised when they did die. (did they though? I'm still a little confused) Anyway, my initial reaction was like excuse me how could you miss chloe I trusted you but then I was like that was actually really poetic. I generally hate it when characters commit suicide but this trope was extremely well executed so yay miss chloe. I loved that at the end with the mention of the boat there was some hope of them being alive; it's open to interpretation. Personally, I'm choosing to believe that they did in fact die, just because I feel like it was wrapped up really nicely and I guess the only way to describe it, as mentioned before, would be poetic.
