Wow. I picked this book up this afternoon and couldn’t put it down. A dark discussion of the progression of mental health and how those around us can be our saviors or our worst enemies. Apathy and shame were nearly as culpable as violence and abuse in the inevitable decline of the main character and those around her. I’ll certainly be thinking of the imagery for some time to come.
