What a beautiful, messy, gut-wrenching story. I literally had to take a 2 week hiatus from this book because I was not mentally stable enough to read this. The way McFarlane's brain works and her ability to write.. is truly unlike anything I've read in such a long time. I'm sobbing. I'm smiling. I didn't want it to end. Discussing grief while weaving in romance is not for the light-hearted, but Ms. McFarlane delivered. If you need me, I'll be curled up in the fetal position contemplating life!
